Reorder PDF pages
Put the pages of a PDF in the right order: fix pages scanned out of sequence, move an appendix to the end, or bring the most important page to the front. See every page, drag them into place, and download the rearranged PDF. Nothing else in the document changes.
Your files are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
How to use Reorder PDF pages
- Click "Select PDF file" and choose your PDF.
- Drag each page to its new place. On a phone, drag it by the handle in its corner. You can also use the arrow buttons under each page.
- Use "Reverse order" for pages scanned backwards, or "Reset" to start again.
- Click "Save new order" and download your PDF.
How to rearrange pages in a PDF
Select your PDF and every page appears as a small picture with its position number. Drag a page and drop it where it belongs: a bar shows exactly where it will land. Each page you move shows its original number ("was page 7"), so you can always see what changed.
For a single step, the arrow buttons under each page move it one place earlier or later. When the order is right, click "Save new order". Your original file isn't changed; you get a new copy with "-reordered" added to its name.
How to reorder PDF pages on a phone
On iPhone and Android, scroll through the pages as usual, and drag a page by the small handle in its top corner to move it. Hold it near the top or bottom of the screen to scroll while dragging. If dragging feels fiddly, the arrow buttons move a page one place at a time.
What if dragging pages doesn't work?
Dragging works with a mouse, a finger or a pen, but phones and long PDFs need a little care.
- On a phone, drag a page by the small handle in its top corner. Dragging anywhere else scrolls the page instead.
- Use the ← and → buttons under each page to move it one place at a time. They also work with the keyboard.
- For a scan that came out backwards, "Reverse order" fixes every page at once.
- "Save new order" stays grey until at least one page has moved.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The pages are rearranged inside your web browser, on your own computer or phone. Your PDF is never sent to us or anyone else.
Is Reorder PDF pages free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of PDFs or pages.
Will the pages or quality change?
No. Only the order changes. Each page keeps its text, images, size and rotation exactly as before, and you can still select and search the text.
Do links, bookmarks and form fields still work?
Yes. They point to pages, not positions, so they follow their pages to the new place. A bookmark to "Chapter 2" still opens Chapter 2 wherever you moved it.
How do I fix a PDF that was scanned in reverse order?
Click "Reverse order": the last page becomes the first and so on. Check the previews, then click "Save new order".
Can I move a page to the other end of a long PDF?
Yes. Drag it and hold it near the top or bottom of the window: the page scrolls by itself until you reach the right spot. With a keyboard, the arrow buttons move a page one place each time.
Can I delete or add pages at the same time?
Not in this tool. To remove pages, use Delete PDF pages first; to add pages from another PDF, use Merge PDF, then come back to put everything in order. Open Delete PDF pages
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not while they are protected. PDFs that need a password to open, or that are locked against editing, can't be changed here. If you know the password, or the document is yours and only blocks editing, remove the protection with Unlock PDF first, then use the unlocked copy. Open Unlock PDF
