PNG to PDF
Turn PNG images into a PDF: screenshots of receipts, chats or web pages, diagrams, and designs exported from apps. PNG keeps edges and small text crisp, and PDFHive adds each image to the PDF without any quality loss.
Your files are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
How to use PNG to PDF
- Click "Select PNG images", or drag your PNG files into the box. JPG and WebP images can go in the same PDF.
- Put the images in order: drag them into place, or use the ↑ and ↓ buttons.
- "Same as image" and no margin are already selected, so each page matches its picture exactly. Choose A4 or US Letter instead if you plan to print.
- Click "Convert to PDF", then "Download PDF".
How to turn screenshots into a PDF
Phones and computers save screenshots as PNG files, so this is the quickest way to collect several screenshots, such as a booking confirmation or a long chat, into one document you can send or keep.
Because each page is exactly the size of its screenshot, nothing is shrunk or cropped and small text stays readable.
- Take your screenshots as usual. They are saved in your Photos, Screenshots or Pictures folder.
- Select them all here, in the order you want them in the PDF.
- Click "Convert to PDF" and download one file with every screenshot.
What if the PDF from your screenshots is too big?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so a PDF made from many screenshots can be large. If an upload form rejects it, try one of these.
- Make the PDF smaller with Compress PDF. It shows the new size before you download, so you can check it fits.
- Convert the screenshots to JPG first with PNG to JPG, then make the PDF from the JPGs.
- Crop away the parts of each screenshot you don't need with Crop image.
Frequently asked questions
Is PNG to PDF free, and are my images uploaded?
It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Your images are turned into a PDF inside your web browser and are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
Transparent parts of a PNG stay transparent inside the PDF, so they show the white of the page. Logos and icons with no background look the same as on a white sheet of paper.
Will the text in my screenshots stay sharp?
Yes. PNG images are added to the PDF without any quality loss, and with "Same as image" selected each page matches the screenshot exactly, so nothing is scaled down.
Why is my PDF bigger than the same images as JPG?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which makes files larger than JPG, especially for photos. The PDF ends up about as big as your PNG files added together. For photos, saving them as JPG first gives a much smaller PDF.
Can I put PNG and JPG images in the same PDF?
Yes. You can mix PNG, JPG and WebP images in one PDF and put them in any order. Each image becomes its own page.
Can I convert screenshots to PDF on my phone?
Yes. Open this page in your phone's browser, tap "Select PNG images" and choose your screenshots from the gallery. The PDF is saved to your Downloads or the Files app.
